The San Diego Convention Center is a relatively recent addition to San Diego's downtown skyline. Even in it's short history, it's achieved a modicum of fame. It's "high-tech" look has caused it to be featured in USA Network's 'Silk Stalkings' (which is actually filmed in San Diego despite their claims about "Palm Beach") as well as in some movie starring Sylvester Stallone (Demolition Man, I think...).
